Pawan Kalyan who scored a dud with his last movie ‘Puli’ is now arriving with a remake of sorts as this is meant to be inspired from the Bollywood hit ‘Love Aaj Kal’. He is joined by Trisha and Kriti Kharbanda and the music is by Mani Sharma, let us see how the songs are
Aale Bale
This is more of a title song and one can see the traces of the Hindi song ‘Chor Bazari’ from Love Aaj Kal. But then, Mani Sharma has used a good mix of violin, mouth organ, guitar and he maintains the beat very smoothly. The duet has been rendered by Hemachandra and Shravana Bhargavi who seem to have enjoyed crooning.
Vayyarala
This is more like a vintage song and there is tinge of Tamil flavor in the beats and tone. Mani Sharma has used simple beats and topped it up with melodious linings wherever required. As usual, the pace of the song is good and Karunya has given a very good impact to it with his involved singing.
Chiguru Bhoniya
A foot tapping song, Mani Sharma opens the note with nice mix of instruments and there is a stirring tune to it. it like a western cowboy song. The usage of various names and creating a rhyme effect is nice.
Sri Ganga
This is a highlight song and is a trademark number of Mani Sharma. One can see his strong presence in composing the beats,
Barbi Bommaki
This one opens with the tune from the Hindi song “leke pehla pehla pyar…’ and it continues like that for a while before Mani Sharma chips in with his mixes and flavors. This is more like a remix song and has a decent beat. Benny Dayal and Shravana Bhargavi toned up their voices and gave a western touch to the number.
Gelupu Thalupule
This is another highlight song and it is filled with good emotion and feel. Mani Sharma takes a subdued approach and gives the front seat to vocals. He chips in with good piano, flute, tabla and gives a soul stirring effect. The key credit goes to Sreeram Chandra for his voice filled with a rather unusual depth.
